Pellet

Pellets are the ecologically pure solid fuel derived in 100% from the natural raw materials. It is environmentally friendly and at the same time easy to carry, store and distribute. It is made from sawdust and wood chips, straw, oat, tobacco, therefore any type of plant-origin waste can be used. The raw material is squeezed under high pressure and then pressed without using any chemical gluing materials. Pellets contain very few pollutants and moisture, which ensures obtaining the optimum effect of combustion. One should remember that wood, as the only raw material, burns neutrally (CO2). Pellets represent the biggest potential renewable energy resource and wins the wider and wider group of advocates. For several years now it has been used in heat-generating systems, for heating utility buildings and households using modern fully automatic heating equipment.

The quality of pellets to a large extent determines the demand for it and its price.

We offer various types of pellets, including those meeting the strictest world standards:

- pellets from coniferous sawdust (v.IT)
- DIN-certificated pellets (v.IT)
- pellets meeting the strictest DIN+ (v.IT)

Figures:
- 2.0 kg of pellets substitutes 1 litre of fuel oil
- 1.5 t of pellets substitutes 1 t of coal
- 1 mł of solid wood = 2.5 mł of chips = 0.5 t of pellets
- 1000 kg of burned pellets produces only 5 kg of ash changing from fuel into pellets means reduction of CO2 emission by 2.5 kg per each litre of fuel oil saved in this way
- for heating a detached house approx. 5 t of pellets a year is required
- the energy produced by 1 kg of charcoal is equal to that generated by one litre of petrol 5 kg of wood is required to manufacture 1 kg of charcoal 1 mł of beech wood = 215 litres of fuel oil

Poland should acquire 7.5 per cent of energy from renewable sources by 2013 and in 2020 it should be as much as 20 per cent – informed Grażyna Gęsicka, the minister of regional development, during the Polish-Swedish conference on Bioenergetics that was held in Warsaw. In 2007-2013, Poland will receive a huge support from the EU budget for coherence policy (including, but not limited to, development of renewable energy). In the end of March, Janusz Mikuła, the vice-minister of regional development [...more]
